DeLonghi EC702 review : I bought this to interchange a Mr. occasional Espresso Machine that died inside a number of months. I specifically needed a machine with a decent steam wand for lattes since i am not a devotee of espresso on its own. I originally bought a DeLonghi Cappuccino maker but had to return it as a result of (heh) I required a longer steam wand for my functions.
This could be a nice machine for the value - i was daunted by the Ikea-like instructions initially, but once you get everything established and running, it's a fast and simple method each morning. It makes nice espresso and features a terribly effective steam wand that makes some crazy, velociraptor noises but creates a nice foam.
It is much easier and quicker to wash than my Mr. Coffee, and that i love that you will remove and wash all of the steam wand elements. i like to recommend shopping for a tamper and steaming pitcher for your functions, but it comes with descaling resolution, that was a nice bonus.
I highly suggest this for anyone who'd like nice espresso drinks at home and desires a decent steam wand.
