We all were very looking forward to this, but it all died related to 1 moment after we installed it all. Will need to return it in order to find something else. Works superior to my aged wired model and does what it had been designed to do. I'm happy with this course. For your Ventstar cell thermostat to function, you want to buy
at very least one transmitter and one receiver,
so you are looking at $200 least.
I have been completely using the Venstar thermostat for over some months at this point.
This review is based on my experience in your pass 3 months.
For the most part, the basic function is effective.
I will be much happier if improvements are made in the next areas:
1) Your transmitter is too large. If your size might be reduced by means of 50%
it will look superior.
2) For a $200 product, I expects a greater grade clear plastic casing.
The present plastic casing is too cheap seeking my taste.
3) A receiver precious time missed this command sent from the
transmitter. It will eventually catch up, but the actual delay is without a doubt annoying.
This appear to get worse in the event the I work with a 'house code' higher than zero.
(zero could be the default 'house code')
This is a big issue for me. If the link between the particular transmitter
and radio is more reliable, user knowledge will improve a lot.
4) It lacks any support meant for 'integrated air quality' system.
If you have a air filter installed with the furnace, you can not
set up a different time schedule exclusively for the lover.
5) The operator interface is known as a pain to help you program. This is because
transmitter has only 5 buttons on it. Each button has to serve
multiple characteristics. I like the user interface from the Luxpro
thermostat _much_ better. (Luxpro hasn't got a wireless model,
however) This problem can be solved if Venstar can be
willing to feature more switches. Read the rest of this entry »
